About Mark Ellis

Prior to joining the Qld Police Service in 1989, Mark attended Queensland University and majored in Journalism and Psychology. His Police experience includes complex investigations with the Fortitude Valley CIB, Metro North Prostitution Unit, Major Crime Squad (Armed Robbery Unit), the elite State Drug Squad and Major Fraud Squad.

Mark successfully completed all phases of Detective training and has completed numerous internal Police courses such as Investigative Skills, Fraud Investigation, Homicide, Surveillance Techniques, Auto Theft, Workplace health and Safety, and numerous legislation courses.

During his career, Mark has completed many major investigations including a variety of homicides, drug production offences (including methylamphetamine lab investigations_, serious assaults, fraud, armed robberies, auto theft/re-identification and other property offences.

As a Director of this company, Mark brings a wealth of experience. Further - Mark is the Managing Director of Gatecrash Security, the owner manager of Silver Lining Entertainment, and he is a licenced Private Investigator and a Qualified Justice of the Peace.

Mark also holds the following qualifications:

• Certificate III of Security and Risk Management.
• Certificate III in Investigative Practices.
• Associate Diploma in Police Investigations.
• Certificate II in Security Operations.
• First Aid (Current qualification)
